Strategic Assessment

The aim of the strategic assessment is to identify the longer-term issues impacting on Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland, as well as the scope of, and projections for crime, criminality and other community safety concerns. Its purpose is to:

 

  • Drive the business of Community Safety Partnerships and the police Strategic Tasking and Co-ordination Group

  • Inform Sustainable Community Strategies, Local Area Agreements and other relevant strategies and plans

  • Facilitate resource allocation

  • Identify areas of threat, risk and harm

  • Aid the formation of the partnership plan/control strategy, which will identify intelligence, prevention and enforcement activity

  • Define the Intelligence Requirement.
