Helping Hands, is a support group set up by Leicester City Council’s Planning and Commissioning Team (Housing related) and Drug and Alcohol Action Team (DAAT). The Planning and Commissioning Team (Housing related) is responsible for commissioning and contract managing housing related support services and accommodation; and DAAT is responsible for commissioning drug and alcohol treatment services.
Getting Involved
Helping Hands members will receive help and supported so they can become involved in the development of services. This will include receiving training to become customer representatives on recruitment panels, involvement in service tenders and acting as mystery shoppers.
Helping Hands members will also have the opportunity to be involved in the development of polices and procedures and in the design and development of the customer section of the Planning and Commissioning website as well as producing their own newsletter.
