 Joint Action Groups
 
Joint Action Groups are multi-agency teams operating on a local basis to tackle crime, disorder, and drugs in Leicester's communities and neighbourhoods.
 
Joint Action Groups are the Partnership's community engagement arm, allowing us to learn about and tackle the issues that most matter to and affect local communities.
 
The Groups are based on a Local Policing Unit boundaries. They meet on a four to six weekly basis, and are made up of representatives from different agencies, including the local -
 
  • Policing Unit
  • Housing offices
  • Fire stations
  • Schools or community centres
  • Businesses
  • Community Groups, and/or
  • Projects and other services (e.g. youth projects)
 
Joint Action Groups also depend on input from you, the members of the local community, for them to be successful in addressing the issues that most concern local people. You can help to make your neighbourhoods safer by getting involved.
